Types of C Hooks
Standard Fixed C Hook
Fixed geometry β the coil always hangs at the same angle. Best for uniform coil sizes in single-product lines. Lowest cost, minimal maintenance, robust in high-cycle operations.
Counterweight C Hook

Size for the heaviest coil you will ever lift β not the average. Minimum safety factor 4:1 per IS 3815 / EN 13157.
Coil ID, OD, and Width
The hook arm must clear the coil OD; the throat must accommodate the coil width. A single hook can be designed to span your full min/max range by adjusting throat width and arm curvature.
